Live human chess match

Hi Everyone,

After 5 years we are at last having the human chess match! It will be held in North Fork at the Mill Site on May 24th (9 am to 11 am).

WEBSITE:  http://northforkhappenings.com/index.html

We are looking for people who might donate used carpet squares for the chess board. Thity-two 3’x3′ sections are needed.

I will be playing Dale Livesey. You do not need to know how to play if you want to be one of the pieces.
Feel free to copy and put up the poster too (especially in Oakhurst)

Thanks very much,
Josh

Yoga returns to the Studio!

On April 15 yoga classes return to the Studio after a several year hiatus. Kristin English will be holding 4 classes per week. See the Studio calendar for details.

From Kristin:

If there is anyone out there that is interested in a gentle movement class but is pensive due to past injuries or natural situations that come with aging, please look at the Gentle/Restorative classes.

These classes aim to accommodate and support all bodies. I have practiced Yoga for over 20 yrs and have trained to teach for over 10 .  My most recent training was in a two year Medical Yoga program, learning to adapt Yoga to injuries and illnesses.  I strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment to accompany your own self exploration.

Movie Night on Sunday March 9

This Sunday, March 9th, there will be a viewing of Alfred Hitchcock’s black and white classic movie @ the STUDIO.

6 pm @ the Studio

A pre-play viewing event  hosted by Karen Freewoman. The play of 39 Steps is showing now in Fresno at the 2nd Space Theater (until April 19th).

For fun, as a group, we may gather 39 people to go see the play
together at a discount on a Thursday or Friday this month.  We will
pick a date after the movie on Sunday.
The play is especially funny if you see the movie first.  You can
borrow the movie also, from Karen, if you miss this viewing.
Bring potluck snacks to share.
No charge, but donations to the STUDIO are helpful :-)
